Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") before using BackingBand ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BackingBand on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial practice and music-making, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.
In-app purchase
BackingBand is free to use, with an optional one-time "Pro" unlock that adds more features. The Pro unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase — there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Purchases and restores are handled by Apple through the App Store; billing, taxes, and refunds are subject to Apple's policies. You can restore a previous Pro purchase at any time from the paywall or from Settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except to the extent permitted by law, and not to use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, and its bundled content (including chart templates and sounds) are owned by the developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Bundled fonts and the sound library are used under their respective licenses. Backing tracks you generate are yours to use in your own practice and performance.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Apple
These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them.
